We ran an internal recruitment referral programme focusing on the value of people to Barclays rather than the financial incentives for joining. This encouraged engagement as well as referrals. More specifically, we launched a celebrity lookalike competition across the retail bank, with the four winners becoming the face of referrals in branches, call centres and Head Office.
